Fargo Police offer Landlord Training Program Class - Sept 21

The Fargo Police Department will offer a Landlord Training Program class from 8:30 am to 5 pm Sept. 21st for managers or owners of rental property in Fargo. Additional classes will be held Oct. 15th and Nov. 16th.

Topics discussed during the class include applicant screening techniques, lease agreements, fair housing issues, the eviction process, warning signs of criminal activity, maintaining the property to housing code standards, the role of the police and other property management issues. The cost of the class is $10 per person.

Participants who attend the training program will be notified if police are sent to their rental property. In addition, training program participants can obtain free local criminal background checks of prospective tenants through the Fargo Police Department.
